Four Eyed monsters

A good film is kind of like a web site, there are lots of them but hardly any that I’d spend a lot of time on. If Four Eyed Monsters was a web site I would be spending a bunch of time on it and check it constantly at least 2x a day.
Four Eyed Monsters is about Arin Crumley who has never had a girlfriend, so he goes to the place where he finds everything else; the internet. Stuck in a rut, Susan Buice waits tables hoping to become inspired by life. They decide to meet up with the pretence to only communicate through hand-written notes. They fall in love with this experiment and continue to relate solely through videos, emails, drawings and physical intimacy for the next 4 months. As their lives merge they’re taken on a roller coaster that could have only ever existed in this modern era of digital love.
I really enjoyed this film, it was really well shot, has great music and a story that is real that I’m sure a lot of people could relate to. It’s hard to believe that Four Eyed Monsters was an armature production. Equally interesting and worthy of your precious time is the Four Eyed monster video podcast a behind the scenes look at the making of the film.
A lot of Hollywood films, IMO anyway, aren’t a quarter as good as Four Eyed monsters. The film is available for free and guilt Download from vimeo.
