This sundays marks the start date of the Bass High Sundays at Laundry 1 year ago. Its been an absolutely awesome year, considering both me and Kammo were prepared that it might only last 2 months! Who would have thunk that a Dubstep and DnB weekly Sunday club night would have lasted a year??

So to celebrate this Sunday we have tried to present a selection of some of the most memorable selection styles we have seen over the year! Afficks, RK, Spherix, Deviant, Hooves and Neo.

Kammo and Shikung will be kicking it all off with a back 2 back set at 7pm so we can sit back all night and bask in the feeling of being one year old.

It also marks the start of the new 7pm start time for Bass High. Don’t worry we still go to 3am but from this week we will be kicking it off at 7 adding some different flavours into the Mix with more UK Hip Hop, Grime and Experimental Tech-Hop beats (Flying Lotus anyone?!?).

NU:TONE
Since signing to Hospital records in 2003 Dan Gresham aka Nu:Tone has come through the ranks to become one of the most highly respected producers in the scene, with everyone from LTJ Bukem to Dillinja busting his tunes. It all started when he met a young John B, sharing broardcasts on a college radio show, which later led to his debut vinyl release with John B’s ‘Beta’ imprint in 2001. He’s since released a string of hugely popular 12″s including ‘Breathless’, ‘Strange Encounter’, ‘Beatnik’ and ‘Three Bags Full amongst others. Dan is also in constant demand as a remix artist with Shapeshifter’s ‘Long White Cloud’, Roni Size’ classic ‘Strictly Social’ and most notably Lenny Fontana’s ‘Spread Love’ all proving to be huge hits once he’d added the Nu:Tone touch to them.

He’s coming to Melbourne off the back of his latest album ‘Back Of Beyond’ which had critics hailing it “Top Class” - Knowledge Mag, for one exclusive show, not to be missed!

CYANTIFIC
Hailing from South-West London, Matt & Jon aka Cyantific have been producing together since high school and were gathered into the Hospital fold in 2003, after a tip off from none other than High Contrast. Building up a strong and steady fanbase worldwide with a series of 12″ releases, remixes and compilation appearances, they took things to the next level with the release of ‘Don’t Follow’ - A storming fast soul classic which featured the vocal talents of the legendary Diane Charlemagne.
2006 saw the release of their Debut LP Ghetto Blaster; an epic album of futuristic beats which won instant praise from both fans and critics alike and really marked Cyantific’s place in D&B history. Alongside their production credits Jon’s DJ sets are something to behold too, a fact that was recognised in march 2007 when Cyantific scooped the highly prized Best Breakthrough DJ award from BBC 1Xtra - this man has some serious skills, and he’s on a mission to spread the gospel according to Cyantific far and wide for one night only this february!

More info shortly…
