Still Alive DS – Portal for your Nintendo DS!

UPDATE: The official Still Alive DS site has mysteriously disappeared (probably because the author didn’t pay their web host) but it’s ok Still Alive DS is uh… still alive and I have put up a copy for you: download Still Alive DS 1.21 (4 MB Zip file).
Break out the old DS, dust it off and show it some love with Still Alive DS, a free home brew game a Portal remake for your Nintendo DS.
If you haven’t guessed from the title Still Alive DS is a free home brew Portal remake for your Nintendo DS.
There are a bunch of levels to play through, and some of them are actually challenging! If you make it through the game then there are a even more single levels to download and play through. Or you can build and share your own levels thanks to the built in level editor. This is one of the best home brew games that I have ever played on the DS and I’m not just saying that because it’s Portal, this game is genuinely awesome.
Although to play Still Alive DS you will need to hack your DS with an R4 card or something similar that will let you play home brew (and DS ROMs but that’s illegal) games.
If that’s not enough the author has coded Still Alive JS, a browser version of Still Alive DS. The author says “Firefox 4 or Chrome are highly recommended” otherwise you might experience lag. I played the game in Firefox 4 and didn’t notice any issues.
Also Valve’s Portal 2 Summer Mapping Initiative has been run and won and you can download extra Portal 2 maps from Thinking With Portals a Portal 2 mapping community.a href=”http://www.thinksupaplex.host.sk/StillAliveDS_V1.21_EFS.zip” title=”Download Still Alive JS – free download”
